Season 2 – Episode 3
The night wind hit Tosin’s face as he stepped outside the uncompleted building where they had been hiding. He needed air. Everything felt too tight, too loud, too close.
He had barely taken a few steps when he heard footsteps behind him.
It was Olajide.
But this time, Olajide wasn’t smiling.
His expression carried a strange mix of disappointment… and something like fear.
“Tosin,” he called, voice firm.
Tosin stopped but didn’t turn.
“You wan run?”
Tosin slowly faced him.
“I no dey run. I just need small space.”
Olajide walked closer.
“Look me well. Something big dey come, and if you move anyhow, everybody go suspect.”
Tosin frowned.
“Suspect wetin? I never talk wetin happen that night.”
Olajide exhaled.
“I know… but Ojo don talk.”
Tosin froze, blood draining from his face.
“Ojo talk wetin?”
Olajide looked away briefly.
“Him no talk everything… yet. But he don panic. He dey fear police, he dey fear street boys, and he dey fear you. He talk say you fit scatter everything when pressure hit.”
Tosin clenched his fist.
“So he dey put blame on me now?”
“Nobody dey blame anybody,” Olajide replied calmly.
“But understand something — once person start to talk, e dey hard to stop.”
A thick silence fell.
The mistake they were all hiding was no longer a secret sealed between two people.
It was now cracking… spreading… leaking into every conversation.
Olajide stepped closer.
“Tosin, if Ojo break fully, he go carry everybody along. If police grab am first, story don finish.”
Tosin swallowed.
“So wetin you want make we do?”
Olajide’s voice dropped.
“We need to find Ojo… before somebody else does.”
Tosin’s heart thumped.
Fear, anger, betrayal — everything mixed inside him like fire.
Because deep down, he knew:
The first mistake brought danger.
But the second mistake…
could bring death.
